Born in Cracow, she has commenced her musical education in 1998 at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Primary and Secondary State Music School in Cracow in the violin class of mgr Renata Sperka. In 2004 she received her honours diploma, thus completing her primary education, under the tutelage of Professor Piotr Tarcholik. She continued her education at the same school for the next six years, receiving her secondary school honours diploma in the violin class of Maciej Chowaniec in 2010.
She has participated and won prizes in many violin competitions, winning 1st prize at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Chamber Music Competition in Cracow, 2nd place at the National Violin Competition in Żywiec, 2nd place at the 8th Young Instrumentalists’ and Multi-instrumentalists’ Festival in Cracow, honourable mention at the 9th Violin, Cello and Guitar Students’ Review in Limanowa, honourable mention at the 28th and 31st National Bach Competition in Zielona Góra and a Special Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition for Secondary Music School Students.
She performed in the CEI YO international orchestra projects, holding the post of concert master.
She has also taken part in many international violin courses – in Żagań, Puławy, Niepołomice, Kołobrzeg, Rycerka Górna and Cracow) and master classes with Professor W. Kwaśny, Professor A. Kostecki, Professor J. Kaliszewska, Professor R. Szreder, Professor A. Rezler, Professor Hyslin and Professor T. Major).
She has performed on stage as soloist with the Cracow Young Philharmonic, where she held the post of concert master for more than a year.
In her twelve years of music education, Katarzyna Jawor had the opportunity to study with many renowned teachers, including Teresa Głąbówna, Piotr Tarcholik and Piotr Marciak.
She currently studies in the violin class of Professor Wiesław Kwaśny at the Cracow Academy of Music.
