George Tchitchinadze / conductor

“A remarkable performance, the orchestra alertly reacting to the precise gesture of Tchichinadze, who had the power to reunite the audience.” Magazyn Chopin

Maestro Tchitchinadze is one of the most beloved artists in Georgia. He has won both public and critical acclaim thanks to his brilliant music skills coupled with personal charisma and his warm and sensitive way of communicating.

George Tchitchinadze has conducted The Netherlands Symphony Orchestra in Enschede in March 2011. He will record on CD Bloch’s Cello Concerto with Gavriel Lipkind and the Gelders Orchestra Arnhem in September 2011 and shall conduct Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Holland in September 2012.

Recently, George Tchitchinadze has been working with Sinfonia Varsovia in the Netherlands, Warsaw, Bilbao, Minsk, Japan and other countries. With Sinfonia Varsovia he made his debut in La Roque d’Antheron in August 2010. His interpretation of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony was such a tremendous success that the audience forced them to encore the Symphony’s ultimate part:“After the intermission, Sinfonia Varsovia, in extremely good shape and with a beautiful homogeneous sound, with all groups well balanced, fascinated the audience in a majestic, convincing interpretation of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. The inspiring Georgian conductor George Tchichinadze, precise, efficient and very musical was successful from beginning to end. An ongoing ovation forced the orchestra to repeat the final part of the Symphony, giving this memorable evening a rich ending!”La Tribune de Genève
